Research and experiencehas shown that pavement lifecycle is approximately 20 yearsforresidential/localroadsandapproximately12yearsforarterial and collector roads. In addition to adversely affectingdriver safety, fuel efficiency, ride quality, and vehicle wearand tear, rough or uneven pavements also negatively impactpavement durability. The City makes it a priority to provideexcellent roads to our citizens by not letting our roadwaysfall into disrepair. The 2017 SPLOST provided extra fundingto keep our roadways in excellent shape and the City plansto continue that program with the 2023 SPLOST.
