b'PATHSReplace Skid SteerProject Number: 26Category: PathsLocation: Public WorksEstimated Cost: $75,000Project Description:As part of paving operations, our crews rely heavily on skidsteers. They are the equipment that is used to tear out the oldasphalt from existing paths and load our dump trucks to haulthe old asphalt away. They are also used to clear forested areasfor new paths. They are imperative for operations becausethey can get to places that bigger pieces of equipment cannot. These skid steers are used year round to meet our goal ofpaving 10 miles of path per year. It is imperative that our skidsteers be in good operational order while crews are workingpath projects. Our skid steers are replaced on a regular cycle toguarantee operational efficiencies. This new skid steer wouldreplace a 2011 skid steer with 3,120 hours. The old skid steerwould be placed in reserve or surplused. Robotic Slope MowerProject Number: 27Category: PathsLocation: Public WorksEstimated Cost: $95,000Project Description:There are places in Peachtree City that are simply notsafe for our crews to maintain with traditional mowers. Currently, our crews are required to manually weed-eat areas that are too steep for mowers. This project would allow the city to purchase a robotic slope mowerthat can safely cut these steep areas. Most importantly, it will lead to increased efficiencies by freeing upcrew time from manually weed-eating these areas. The slope mower will also be used to maintain and mowsome of our steep retention ponds. PTC SPLOST 2023|27'
